Quando você foi embora. From Abstraction Experiments Series, 2025

Almo

This artwork is a dynamic explosion of intersecting lines and vivid colors, forming a complex tapestry of geometric precision. The artist has masterfully employed a myriad of hues, from bold reds and bright yellows to deep blues and vibrant greens, creating a mesmerizing lattice of contrasting tones. The overlapping lines generate a sense of movement and depth, drawing the viewer's eye throughout the composition. Each intersection births new shades and patterns, inviting exploration and reflection. The deliberate yet chaotic arrangement challenges the perception of order and chaos, embodying an intricate balance. This network of lines not only creates a visual spectacle but also evokes a sense of connectivity and energy, making it a compelling and thought-provoking piece. The artwork's rich texture and layered complexity demonstrate the artist's skill in transforming simple lines into a captivating visual journey.

Whether they are symbols, dreams or marks of the life of each of us. The artist's work often features heads, floating bodies, trees, dollar signs, cars, laurel branches, and symbolic elements that denounce the cruelties of our borders. Almo executes his drawings intuitively in these acrylic paintings, aiming for a state of ' semi-trance' as he himself defines his process.

Almo wonders about his identity, the countries he has lived in, his daily routine and how he creates himself. An outsider who has made the world his home, skin, and citizenship, and through his artwork, he safeguards it in an attempt to explore the mysteries that pass through. Whether they are symbols, dreams or marks of the life of each of us.
