The Oil painting Cardboard titled "City bridge" captures a vivid and atmospheric scene of urban life where architecture, water, and human presence harmoniously converge. The composition immediately draws the eye toward the elegant arched bridge that dominates the center of the canvas. Its sturdy stone arches span the calm surface of the river below, while small groups of people can be seen strolling across, their forms suggested through bold, impressionistic brushstrokes. The bridge stands as both a practical structure and a symbol of connection—linking not only two sides of the river but also blending the human-made with the natural elements of the cityscape. Beneath the arches, a small black boat glides gracefully across the reflective surface of the water. Painted with swift, confident strokes, the boat and its occupants add a sense of movement and human intimacy to the otherwise monumental presence of the bridge. The dark hull of the vessel contrasts beautifully with the shimmering greens and blues of the river, where reflections of the bridge, trees, and sky ripple gently across the surface. This detail adds depth to the composition, pulling the viewer's gaze downward and creating a balance between the solidity of the stone and the fluidity of water. Rising behind the bridge, the city unfolds in layers of architectural charm. Tall, narrow towers and elegant houses with red and ochre rooftops emerge from behind dense greenery, their facades painted in warm creams and soft yellows that glow under the filtered light of the sky. The vertical lines of the towers provide a striking counterpoint to the horizontal span of the bridge, emphasizing both stability and grandeur. Some of the rooftops are accented with purple and blue tones, reflecting the play of light as the day transitions toward evening. Above the city, the sky spreads out in a soft, moody palette of lilac, lavender, and gray, infused with touches of white and pale yellow. The clouds appear dynamic, with textured brushwork suggesting movement and atmosphere. This sky, while calm, holds a certain dramatic tension, complementing the stillness of the water below and imbuing the entire scene with a sense of timelessness.
