Description
This vibrant abstract artwork is a striking example of geometric abstraction. The composition is a complex tapestry of colorful squares and rectangles, each uniquely filled with shades of blue, orange, green, and yellow. Interspersed with these blocks are soft curves and bold lines that create a dynamic sense of movement and balance. Notably, the artist uses contrasting colors to enhance depth and vibrancy, drawing the viewer's eye across different sections of the piece. The boundaries between shapes are accentuated with outlines, giving structure amidst chaos. This approach invites observers to explore the interplay between form and color, provoking a sense of curiosity and contemplation. The signature at the bottom right corner firmly associates the work with its creator, emphasizing its originality. This piece exemplifies how structured simplicity can convey profound complexity.
Presentation
Christian Jodin is a French artist born in 1970. He obtained a degree in Fine Arts from the National School of Fine Arts of Paris in 1992, where he studied engraving medals, reliefs, mosaic sculpture, painting and lithography. He then started working as an engraver at the "Monnaie de Paris", and afterwards in a photographic laboratory.
It was not until 1993 that he decided to devote himself completly to his personal artwork. Christian Jodin tries to reinvent a certain aesthetics through subject fragmentation, by repeating the same pattern, between contemporary and primitivism. He calls this technique "Pictorial Zapping ".
Christian Jodin's pieces have been exhibited in international and national exhibitions from Osaka to Monaco.
