Description
Since the lockdown, the artist Miguelan has been developing a series of unique works made from hair removal wax and hair collected from his partners. This project began when one of them, unable to go to a salon, asked him to wax her. The artist then kept this hair—exclusively pubic, which gives the material an intimate and deeply physical dimension—and continued this process with his other partners, each of whom holds a special place in his life.
From this raw and personal material, Miguelan creates wall sculptures and sculptures where aesthetics, memory, and DNA intertwine. Some works even bear the profession of the woman from whom they originate, as is the case here with the piece entitled.
Presentation
Self-taught Bolivian artist, living in France for a few years. He has several areas of creativity, modeling, music and painting.
Animals, nature are the main themes of the artist. He takes the time to observe the environment so that his works come to life.
