Description
Miguelan reveals another facet of his work through a much more technical and traditional practice, inherited from his relationship with clay, which he sculpts with a perfectionism bordering on hyperrealism. In his pieces, every scale, every variation of color, every tooth is rendered with meticulous precision, testifying to his keen sense of observation. Originally from Bolivia and living on the edge of the Amazon rainforest, the artist harbors a profound fascination for the animal world, whose forms, behaviors, and vulnerabilities he studies. This attentiveness is reflected in works that often echo the human condition. Thus, whether he works with intimate materials, Miguelan anchors his creations in the same quest: aesthetics, transmission, and the way in which humankind evolves and leaves its mark on society.
