Description
This diptych explores the raw, vibrant language of ink. The work was created on 300gsm paper.
It is an ink painting made with foraged plant materials, such as lavender stems, Provence cane leaves, and branches.
On the left, dense, dazzling bursts of ink seem to erupt from the center, like an inner explosion. The ink droplets extend onto the right panel and stretch diagonally, creating a sense of movement.
Together, the two panels engage in a dialogue of contrasting dynamism: one pulses, the other breathes.
The work invites contemplation of the energy of the gesture and the trace of controlled chance, like the bouncing of lavender flowers on their stems. It can be interpreted as an emotional cartography, an abstract landscape where black becomes a living substance.
Dimensions: Two panels, each 29.7 x 42 x 0.1 cm
