Description
This intriguing work, composed of intricate black and white patterns, evokes a labyrinth of organic and geometric forms. Dominated by a central motif reminiscent of a stylized flower, the illustration juxtaposes varied textures and meticulous details that stimulate the imagination. The intertwined forms seem to come alive, suggesting a dreamlike landscape or a psychedelic map. The striking contrast between deep black and bright white creates an illusory depth, capturing the eye and drawing it into exploring every corner of the composition. The complexity of the arrangement and the fluidity of the lines demonstrate remarkable technical mastery. Each section of the work seems to tell its own story, prompting the viewer to delve into introspective reflection on the connection between order and chaos. This piece is an invitation to a fascinating and endless visual journey.
Presentation
Looking at the paintings of Christophe Ausello.
The material of Christophe Ausello's works is the new world that he discovers, day after day, year after year. Without any reference to anything existing, on the fringes, so to speak, of official painting.
– neither figurative because imaginary, nor abstract because real – his paintings reveal his inner universe, where signs abound, swarm, like insects leaving their traces, like plant debris, like the first elements of life.
– the poet Henri Michaux called this, for his writings, “life in the folds". He himself is surprised by his production, as if, in his daily fabric of difficulties and work, these signs revealed a hidden treasure to him, and that covering the paper or canvas with these mysterious signs gave him a very real joy.
It is this joy that he shares with us, it is this secret journey that he invites us to.
Thank you, dear Christophe Ausello.
