Description
Heir to the Habsburgs, the Infanta Margarita Teresa was painted repeatedly by Velázquez from her childhood. This figure of the Spanish court is notably the princess featured in Las Meninas.
Here, I focus on a portrait of the Infanta in a pink dress housed in the Prado Museum (painted between 1660 and 1665). My current perspective is contemporary, and I offer you an abstract landscape based on certain colors and contrasts from the original.
A unique, very original, and highly elegant creation, paying a vibrant tribute to this unparalleled Spanish master.
Presentation
A professional artist since 1995, Eric Winzenried lives in western France. Passionate about landscapes, both real and imagined, he has made them the heart of his work. His exploration of color and synthesis has naturally led him to contemporary landscape painting, while maintaining a high standard of quality in his creations. His series are resolutely abstract, where contemplation and aesthetics take center stage. For him, landscape is much more than a subject: it is a space of freedom where color becomes a language. Convinced of the influence of color on the body and mind, he crafts creations imbued with harmony, offering a unique visual and emotional experience.
