Description
This early plain air painting by the master, painted during his first year at the Academy of Painting, masterfully captures a quiet rural scene in the village of Karmanovo, Tver region, in the center of which is an old barn and an elderly woman in a headscarf, located in the middle of a golden wheat field. The weathered roof of the barn and the muted wooden panels speak of years spent exposed to the elements. A lone rowan bush stands guard next to the structure, adding depth and contrast to the composition. Overhead, the sky is a dynamic canvas of cumulus clouds in soft shades of blue and gray, hinting at an impending change in the weather. The artist's masterful style of writing and the choice of a restrained color palette create a sense of calm and timelessness. The painting is framed in a sturdy dark wood frame, which complements the rustic theme and draws the viewer's gaze to the detailed landscape. This work celebrates the beauty of simplicity and the quiet dignity of rural life in a unique way.
Presentation
Committed to the Russian realistic school, graduate of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, he aspires for absolute fidelity in reproducing the reality.
1988/90 A student of the art school in Krasnaya Presnya district of Moscow.
1990/97 A student of Moscow Academic Art Lyceum attached to the Russian Academy of Arts, Moscow. His graduation drawings were illustrations for Academician Platonov's The Course of Russian History rated as “excellent". As a result, Kozhin was attested as having finished a full course of general and professional education.
1997/03 A student of Ilya Glazunov's Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, Moscow.
