Thierry Zdzieblo

Thierry Zdzieblo, born in 1966, is a French contemporary painter of Polish origin, widely recognized for his instinctive and expressive approach to abstract painting. A self-taught artist, Zdzieblo has mastered the use of the palette knife, which he employs to produce large-scale, dynamic compositions. His works are defined by energetic gestures and vibrant contrasts, often using primary colors — yellow, red, and blue — that burst across the canvas with raw emotion.

Initially exploring figurative art, Zdzieblo quickly transitioned to a more gestural abstraction, emphasizing movement, spontaneity, and the physical act of painting. His artworks reflect a vivid chromatic vitality and emotional immediacy, often resembling the lyrical abstraction of painters such as Gerhard Richter or Zao Wou-Ki, while maintaining a deeply personal and original style.

Zdzieblo's paintings have been exhibited extensively in France, notably at Galerie Graal in Agen, where he presented his solo exhibition “Zdzieblo, Panoramic Paintings” from September 18 to October 31, 2021. His works are also available on major international art platforms such as Artsper, Singulart, Carré d’artistes, and Artmajeur.

His abstract compositions invite viewers into a sensory experience where emotion, movement, and color converge. With his bold and intuitive gestures, Thierry Zdzieblo has secured his place in the realm of contemporary abstract art, offering paintings that are both powerful and uplifting.
