Description
An acrylic composition where the material dictates the rhythm.
The gaze glides over a low horizon line. Geometric white shapes emerge from a deep blue.
These structures evoke boat hulls or suspended islets. Their textured surface captures the light and creates a tangible relief.
Fine vertical lines soar towards a dark sky, like solitary masts in the immensity.
The work on reflections brings a serene fluidity to the whole. The shades of blue blend with precision, alternating between clarity and shadow.
The artist plays with the density of the paint to establish visual depth.
The balance between the rigor of the forms and the softness of the gradient establishes a contemplative calm.
The technical execution emphasizes a constant dialogue between light and material. The final rendering focuses on the interaction of cool tones and white highlights.
Presentation
Nat Stresser is an artist specializing in abstract arts, more specifically in acrylic painting.
She was born in 1970 in an Alsatian town near Strasbourg.
Since her young years the artistic fiber has not left her. After beginnings in the figurative; with watercolors and dry pastel, she undertakes art studies and obtains the A3 plastic arts baccalaureate. Little by little, her style evolves and tends towards abstract painting, in which she evolves today and flourishes fully.
Her canvases are fluid and full of relief. We feel a certain power and a depth which gives the viewer a desire to dive into them. Bright colors or shades of gray and red, her style is unique to her, but everyone can easily enter her world.
Her inspiration comes from the material itself, from the shadow and the light, to give intensity and texture to her works.
