No Brakes | Dog on Rollercoaster, 2026

Victo

A wide-eyed dog is caught in the peak of an overwhelming moment — racing forward on a rollercoaster, suspended between thrill and loss of control. What first reads as pure joy quickly reveals something deeper: that intense, almost chaotic state where excitement and fear blur into one.

The scene feels exaggerated, almost absurd, yet instantly familiar. The wind, the speed, the open-mouthed expression — it's not just about the ride, but about the feeling of being fully inside an experience you cannot stop. A moment where control disappears, and all that remains is raw presence.

Set against a loosely defined amusement park backdrop, the composition keeps the focus on the character's emotional state. The distorted perspective and dynamic lines amplify the sensation of motion, while the dog's expression — somewhere between exhilaration, panic, and surrender — becomes the true subject of the work.

Hand-painted in oil with acrylic markers on canvas, this 30 × 30 cm (12 × 12 in) original combines expressive brushwork with sharp, graphic accents. Bright reds, electric blues, and sunlit yellows collide with warm fur tones, creating a vibrant tension between chaos and clarity.

Balancing humor with emotional intensity, the piece reflects a universal experience — those moments when life moves too fast, when we are no longer in control, yet somehow fully alive within it.
