Two wooden spools of white thread and a pair of worn iron scissors rest on a wooden shelf against a deep, velvety darkness — humble objects elevated to quiet magnificence through masterful chiaroscuro. Every strand of thread, every groove in the aged wood, every scratch on the scissor blades is rendered with extraordinary photorealistic precision. The composition draws directly from the Dutch Old Master tradition of vanitas still life, finding profound beauty and poetry in the most ordinary of things. Painted in luminous oil on canvas panel by Gevorg Sinanyan, this intimate work is technically breathtaking.
Presentation
I am Gevorg Sinanyan, born in 1992, an artist who paint in his own studio in Armenia.
I always loved drawing and have a big interest of art, design in all forms. My paintings come from my daily life.
I started painting using watercolor and acrylic, but I currently paint in oil on canvas.
My palette is very colorful. The painters whose work I enjoy are many: Here are a few: Claude Monet, Caravaggio, Vincent van Gogh.
