A winter wetland dissolves into pure painterly atmosphere — bare branches reach from dark water, reeds pierce an icy surface, and deep teal pigment drips from a brooding sky like thawing ice or suspended time. White impasto builds a frozen mist across the center, while flashes of red at the water's edge inject a startling note of life — blood-bright against the cold. The composition breathes between abstraction and landscape, never fully settling in either. Painted with fluid, instinctive freedom in oil on canvas by Senia Baloyan, this haunting winter scene resonates long after first viewing.
