A corner in Seattle, held in memory — not as it looked on any particular day, but as it accumulated over time. The stone building has been there long enough that the city has grown back around it. The trees are winning. The red windows stay lit.

This is a place that exists whether you return to it or not. A coffee shop at the intersection of two streets, two seasons, two kinds of permanence — the built and the grown. The work captures neither the interior nor the occasion. Only the corner. Only what stayed.

Reconstructed in thread from memory. Every stone course, every arch, every leaf rendered stitch by stitch through a process that is as slow and deliberate as the accumulation of the place itself.

Ray grew up around his family's embroidery factory, and together they developed their practice through years of working alongside the garment and embroidery industry. Using photography, manual digitizing, and industrial embroidery, they reconstruct personal memories through thread. Their works explore the relationship between image, material, and memory, translating quiet, lived moments into tactile form.
