Description
This striking artwork depicts an urban scene at dusk. The focus is on a vast sky, where deep blue clouds blend into subtle shades of pink and purple. The horizon is occupied by the silhouettes of construction cranes and buildings, highlighting the juxtaposition between the tranquility of the sky and the human activity below. The cranes, symbols of progress and modernity, stand proudly against the calming background, adding a dynamic dimension to the scene. The balanced and evocative composition perfectly captures the essence of a city in constant evolution under a changing sky.
Presentation
Claude Francheteau was born in Nantes in 1971.
"I was lying on my back, near the river, my eyes plunged into the deep blue of the sky. At the edge of my field of vision, I could see the roofs and chimneys of buildings, lost in the vast area and giving it a sense. What I saw could be a way to paint."
Claude Francheteau deliberately claims to be a "landscape painter".
It is an infinitely political attitude that claims painting as a place of work, which favors Doing. He advocates drawing, "the probity of drawing," the inescapable drawing, and prefers simply to show.
He painted it. And usually his audience does him good which, in the face of his work, says breathe, feel, rise. Take a little height.
Norbert Marsal- Carl de Châteauneuf.
