“Let’s Play”, 2026

Martsi (Nataliia Martsilenko)

The painting "Let's Play" immerses the viewer in a playful world, inviting them into a fairy tale reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland. The girl holds a small rabbit tightly in her arms, as if she has caught a tiny miracle and does not want to let it go. We do not see her face. This gesture creates a sense of inner concentration and mystery. It feels as though the heroine has paused in a suspended moment, thinking about a wish that is about to come true. Before us is a kind of still frame, the very moment of making a wish. The embrace of the little dreamer feels warm, sincere, and deeply genuine.

The painting is created using a mixed media technique, forming a layered and textured visual space that transports the viewer into another dimension, playful, magical, and filled with echoes of childhood dreams and memories. Charcoal adds depth to the work and shapes a strong contrasting composition, while transparent layers of acrylic bring lightness, softness, and sensuality. Ornamental elements enhance the decorative quality of the piece and give the composition an inner sense of movement and rhythm.
