Crossroads, 2026

Martsi (Nataliia Martsilenko)

“Crossroads" is a work from the series “Map of Infinity," reflecting a state of inner transition and the search for a new direction. The female figure appears suspended between layers of space, where intertwining branches form a complex network of lines resembling roots, thought maps, and labyrinths of inner states at the same time.

The dark depth of the background contrasts with the vivid branches in the foreground, creating tension between what is hidden and what is revealed. The female figure remains almost ghostlike, as if dissolving between these two spaces.

The painting is created in mixed media. The combination of different materials, translucent layers, and textured surfaces emphasizes the complexity of the emotional state fragility, inner chaos, vulnerability, and at the same time an attempt to find a point of balance. The work creates a space in which vulnerability, tension, and silence coexist within a moment of inner choice.
