Description
This painting explores the connection between nature, memory, and the idea of home. Hidden among intertwining branches and rich green textures, a small cluster of red-roofed houses emerges from the landscape, creating a sense of mystery and quiet discovery.
The vibrant contrast between the warm reds and luminous greens draws the viewer into a dreamlike world where reality and imagination coexist. The houses appear protected by the surrounding trees, symbolizing shelter, belonging, and the enduring presence of cherished memories.
Inspired by the emotional bond between people and places, the work invites contemplation and encourages viewers to find their own stories within its layered forms and organic details. Both peaceful and evocative, the painting offers a poetic reflection on home, nature, and the landscapes we carry within us.
Presentation
Mariam Baidoshvili is a Georgian artist working primarily in large-scale abstract painting, whose work is rooted in the atmosphere of dreams and fairy tales. She holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in Georgia. Growing up in the country's culturally rich landscape has deeply shaped her artistic voice—a blend of fluid movement, ethereal color palettes, and compositions that invite the viewer into imaginative, almost otherworldly spaces.
Each painting she creates is meant to offer a kind of visual escape, a space where reality begins to dissolve and something more poetic takes its place. She strives to evoke wonder, emotion, and quiet introspection through the deliberate use of color, texture, and layered storytelling.
Over the years, Mariam has participated in exhibitions both in Georgia and across Europe. While her practice continues to evolve, one thing stays constant: her passion for creating artworks that feel like windows into an inner world—where abstraction becomes narrative, and the visual becomes deeply personal.
