Description
This vibrant artwork captures an untamed garden bursting with energy and life. Dominated by luscious purple and green hues, the scene juxtaposes the rough texture of tall grasses with the smooth, flowing leaves of the ground foliage. Skillful brushstrokes convey the wildness and movement within the garden, as light dances across the canvas, highlighting intricate layers. The painting's depth is enriched by the interplay of shadows and light, suggesting a serene yet dynamic atmosphere. Uniquely, the artist employs a vivid color palette and expressive technique, allowing viewers to almost feel the rustling leaves and the whisper of the wind. This piece invites the observer into a tranquil, nature-infused sanctuary, capturing the enchanting chaos and harmony of natural growth. The artwork's immersive quality stems from its ability to evoke sensory experiences, making it a captivating exploration of nature's beauty.
Presentation
David trained as a Fine Artist at Manchester College of Art before completing a Master's Degree at the Royal College of Art. Working full-time as an artist for the last 16 years, David's practice is deeply rooted in observation, interpretation and memory, inspired largely by the local environment. His work explores landscape and place through drawings, gathered references and personal experience, these often become larger paintings developed in the studio.
