Fields of Becoming, 2026

Ketki Fadnis

"Fields of Becoming" explores the quiet transformation of memory, emotion, and perception through rhythmic layers of colour and mark-making. Built through countless individual gestures, the work unfolds like an evolving landscape — fluid, fragmented, and continually emerging.

The interplay of luminous blues and greens, soft violets, warm ochres, and shifting pinks creates a sense of movement between stillness and energy, suggesting moments of growth, dissolution, and renewal. Rather than depicting a fixed place, the painting invites the viewer into an inner terrain where form and feeling remain in constant transition.

Through repetition, texture, and chromatic rhythm, the work reflects the idea that becoming is never complete — it is an endless continuum of change, memory, and presence.
