Description
This oil painting on linen canvas captures the serene immensity of the coastline. Two young silhouettes, dressed in white, contemplate the horizon. Their postures suggest a calm curiosity in the face of nature's grandeur.
The composition is structured around a palette of blues and light sands. The light reflects precisely on the surface of the water. It creates a luminous bridge between the sky and the shore.
The brushwork emphasizes the fluid movement of the waves. The artist explores here the duality of feelings in the face of the sea. The usual chaos of the waves gives way to a peaceful atmosphere.
The sky occupies a predominant place. Its graduated tones reinforce the sensation of space and freedom. The scene invites silent contemplation.
The figurative approach favors the clarity of forms and the harmony of tones. The final rendering highlights the softness of a summer day. The whole ends with the light contact of feet on the wet sand.
Presentation
Self-taught artist, my representations of the ocean are oil made on a linen canvas. My paintings are about nature in general, but mostly about the oceanic theme with representations of this ocean in high sea, often furious, impetuous, but especially in movement. I try to convey the dynamism of this movement.
In front of the sight of a storm at sea, it is remarkable to notice that opposite feelings can appear: both fear and admiration. My paintings show a marine nature, sometimes chaotic sometimes peaceful and are trying to pass on this mix of feelings to the spectator.
