Description
An infinite beach extends under a changing sky. The oil on canvas captures a moment of calm and complicity. Five children venture to the edge of the water. Their silhouettes are reflected on the wet sand. The liquid mirror erases the border between land and ocean.
The brush suggests the lightness of the air and the softness of the light. Pastel tones dominate the composition. Pale blue mixes with the white of the clouds. A serene atmosphere emanates from this figurative scene. The artist here favors the peace of a tranquil coastline. The movement is discreet. It resides in the light surf that comes to lick the shore.
This 2025 creation explores the relationship between humans and nature. The airy composition leaves room for contemplation. The gaze travels towards the horizon where the sky and the sea merge. The precision of the reflections brings a natural depth to the landscape. The whole rests on a subtle chromatic balance. The white of the clothes illuminates the center of the canvas.
Presentation
Self-taught artist, my representations of the ocean are oil made on a linen canvas. My paintings are about nature in general, but mostly about the oceanic theme with representations of this ocean in high sea, often furious, impetuous, but especially in movement. I try to convey the dynamism of this movement.
In front of the sight of a storm at sea, it is remarkable to notice that opposite feelings can appear: both fear and admiration. My paintings show a marine nature, sometimes chaotic sometimes peaceful and are trying to pass on this mix of feelings to the spectator.
