Bloom Field - Afterglow, 2026

Tellyn-M

Bloomfield – Afterglow is a contemporary abstract floral painting made with acrylic on canvas. Inspired by the energy of gardens in full bloom, this work evokes the memory of a vegetal landscape rather than its faithful representation.

Intense roses, luminous corals, oranges, and violets dialogue with a background of deep greens, creating a vibrant contrast where color becomes light. Worked with a knife, the material reveals a rich and expressive texture that captures the light according to the angle of observation, offering a constantly renewed visual experience.

At the border between lyrical abstraction and botanical inspiration, this contemporary painting invites the eye to freely explore shapes and colors. The flowers emerge and then disappear in a gestural composition, leaving room for the imagination and emotion.

The title Afterglow refers to this persistent light that remains after sunset. Like a luminous echo, the work translates the warmth of a suspended moment where the colors seem to continue radiating well beyond daylight.

This original work will naturally find its place in a contemporary interior, an architect's home, a reception area, or a collection of modern art. Its square format of 80 × 80 cm allows it to become a true focal point, bringing color, depth, and character to the space.
