Description
Fragment is a composition where matter asserts itself with intensity. Against a smooth, almost architectural, grey-green background, thick strata rise in relief, like so many colorful, vivid, and vibrant scars. Touches of fluorescent pink, ochre, and white accumulate in fragmented layers, revealing a tension between construction and erosion.
The vertical and horizontal lines sketch a grid, an almost urban structure, which the texture disrupts, breaks, and enhances. This contrast between the order of the background and the controlled chaos of the pictorial layers invites us to explore the duality between control and spontaneity, between the built and the organic.
Each fragment tells a story of transformation: a gesture, a trace, a memory frozen in the thickness of the paint. The work presents itself as a sensory cartography, a palimpsest where life seeks to re-emerge.
Work exhibited in Venice, at the Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, as part of an international exhibition organized by ITSLIQUID Group in September 2025.
Presentation
Tellyn-M is a contemporary French painter whose work falls within a sensitive and organic abstraction. Trained in art history, she develops a pictorial practice centered on matter, light, and the tension between control and letting go.
Her works, created with acrylic and plaster on canvas, are built up in successive layers, revealing deep and vibrant surfaces. Color, and particularly blue, plays a crucial role in her artistic exploration: it acts as an emotional space, a silent depth rather than a simple chromatic element.
