Description
All the 8 pieces are identical and numbered 1/8-8/8.
This complex composition merges photography and painting into a digital-age tapestry. The artist employs a multi-layered technique. C-prints blend with acrylic and collage under a polished plexiglass finish. Sharp geometric forms intersect with fluid, organic shapes. Deep blacks create structural anchors against a luminous palette of ochre, violet, and soft pink.
The artwork explores the tension between order and chaos. Fragmented grids suggest a digital glitch or an architectural blueprint. These rigid elements contrast with sweeping curves that evoke a sense of movement. The visual language reflects a search for meaning within a fragmented reality. It functions as a modern excavation of memory and form.
Rhythmic vertical lines break the surface. Subtle typographic details add a layer of cryptic mystery. The spatial depth is ambiguous and shifting. Light reflects off the plexiglass to enhance the depth of the acrylic layers. This piece invites the viewer to navigate a structured yet unpredictable landscape. The final result is a precise balance of abstraction and meticulous layering.

Geert Lemmers was born in the mysterious Land van Maas en Waal in the Netherlands. His grandmother's stories about witches and secret societies have formed him as an artist.
He studied photography and photographic arts and worked as a freelancer for years making reportages and portraits for magazines and fashion photographs. After the digital revolution he could realize his dream by making art, the way he saw it. In 2008 Geert Lemmers won the professional art-price in his region and that was the start of a successful artistic career.
After years of collaboration with well-known painters, his possibilities only grew.
Geert Lemmers is interested in our world and in its cultural and sexual diversity. He works mostly project-based and his work is about "the world of people" as a sort of general research.
"The world of people is about men and women behind often beautiful looking facades in the middle of the chaotic universe we live in. I research the raw site of our lives represented as fairytales in a wonderland as a enlargement of our life. Enlarged characters in chaos, beauty and imperfection. In every new project I vary on this basic-entity."
Geert's works, however, are characterized [now that he is getting older] by an increasing need for abstract and highly simplified design, allowing more room for emotion and the mystical.
Geert's works are honored many times and his works were to be seen in several international art - magazines.
