Summer, 2025

Helen Shukina

Luminous energy fills this floral composition. The artist captures a moment of natural harmony. Bright yellow blooms anchor the scene. They contrast sharply against a deep azure backdrop. Thick oil paint creates a rich relief. Impasto strokes build physical depth on the canvas. Each petal appears tactile and alive.
The light plays across a transparent glass vase. Subtle reflections mingle with cool white tones. Patches of white blossoms float like light clouds. Green foliage weaves through the arrangement. The application is spontaneous. It reflects a mastery of outdoor light and innate academic skill.
The color palette is fresh and invigorating. It evokes the purity of a summer garden. Strong vertical lines guide the eye upward. The brushwork remains confident and bold. This artwork celebrates the vitality of the natural world through a contemporary lens. A delicate balance exists between structured form and expressive freedom. The composition concludes with soft shadows resting on a pale surface.
