Pink water Lily | Pink Blossom on Dark Pond, 2026

Tatiana Kvashnina

A single pink water lily rises from a dark pond, surrounded by broad green lily pads and deep blue-green water. This original oil on canvas captures the kind of small natural moment that is easy to overlook but rewarding to stop and notice. Soft pink petals open around a warm coral-orange center, while expressive brushwork gives the flower texture and immediacy.

The surrounding greens range from olive and moss to darker forest and teal tones, creating a natural frame around the blossom. Rather than idealizing the scene, the visible marks of the brush keep it fresh and spontaneous. The contrast between the luminous flower and the shadowed water gives the composition a calm but distinctive presence.

This artwork is a natural fit for collectors who appreciate contemporary impressionism, botanical subjects, and peaceful imagery. It can bring a quiet connection to nature into a bedroom, living room, study, or reading corner, and it also makes a thoughtful gift for someone who loves flowers, ponds, and serene summer landscapes.
