Description
In (oil on canvas, 2024, 40 × 50 cm), Francesca Strino fully expresses her mastery of light and her ability to blend realism with poetic suggestion. The female figure, rendered through soft brushstrokes and a subtle interplay of transparencies, appears in overlapping visual layers that evoke parallel dimensions of being: the earthly face, its spiritual echo, and its inner essence.
The carefully painted feathers allude to the angelic dimension, while the warm light and delicate contrasts reveal the artist's profound sensitivity to the subject's psychological dimension. Strino does not simply portray a face; she unveils its soul, inviting the viewer to move beyond the surface and enter an intimate yet universal narrative.
Presentation
Francesca Strino was born in Naples in 1979. The daughter of an artist, she began her artistic education at the Art High School before graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, where she studied Sculpture under the guidance of Professor Gerardo Di Fiore. Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards and participated in many exhibitions for both sculpture and painting. Over time, however, painting—also nurtured by the constant influence of her father, one of the leading figures of Campanian painting—has become her primary means of expression, leading her work into important galleries and private collections in Italy and abroad.
