Almareni Art Gallery

Founded in Palermo in 2018 by Marco Cocciola, historian, gallerist and collector, Almareni Art Gallery is dedicated to the research, promotion and appreciation of modern and contemporary art.

Born from a genuine passion for art and many years of experience in collecting, the gallery has developed a distinctive curatorial approach based on a carefully considered and personal selection, bringing together established and emerging artists from Italy and abroad.

Painting, sculpture and photography are the main artistic languages through which Almareni explores the many expressions of contemporary culture. Particular attention is devoted to artists who combine formal quality, originality of research and depth of meaning, creating works that investigate identity, memory, the human condition and the transformations of contemporary society.

The gallery's activity extends beyond the exhibition and sale of artworks, encompassing exhibitions, curatorial projects, publications and collaborations with cultural institutions, with the aim of developing meaningful projects that enhance and support the work of its artists over time.

At the heart of Almareni's philosophy is the relationship between artwork, artist and collector. Since 2023, Almareni Art Gallery has been located in the historic heart of Palermo, within Palazzo Custos, just a short walk from La Cala and Piazza Marina.
