Description
The painting depicts a large red octopus placed in an unnatural, seemingly domestic or office setting. Using its tentacles, the creature is simultaneously managing several everyday human objects: it holds a notepad with a pen, a retro rotary phone receiver, and a set of keys. Another tentacle is wrapped around a glass fishbowl containing a small red fish, while papers lie scattered at the base.
This visual absurdity naturally unfolds the core idea of the artwork: a metaphor for exhausting multitasking and modern daily routine. The octopus, pulled out of its natural environment, is forced to juggle mundane human tasks. A striking paradox is created through the fishbowl—the ocean creature exists outside the water, while a small fish is confined within it. Through this scene, the painting highlights the feeling of being overwhelmed by obligations, misplaced roles, and the absurd nature of a life caught in an endless cycle of tasks.
