Description
The artwork here, "Femme a la Fenetre'', is a wonderful depiction of a woman putting on her makeup, that is saturated with acute detail, and vibrant color throughout, making it one of the nicest paintings by Savin we have ever made available. Also, measuring approximately 24" x 30" and 32" x 38" with the high-quality frame made specifically for this painting, the immaculate artwork is of impressive craftsmanship and size. Finally, it has remained in excellent condition since being completed by Savin in 1966, is signed and dated in the lower right corner, as well as signed and titled on the verso and comes with a Gallery Letter of Authenticity.
Maurice Louis Savin's art has been exhibited in major museums, and can be found in some of the most prestigious public and private across the globe. Now, this authentic painting can be part of yours as it will be professionally packaged to ship domestically or Internationally. Therefore please contact us if you have any questions and do not forget to submit your offer.
Every item comes with free custom framing. We have wood frames with gold, silver, black, or brown finishes to offer you. Please note that in order to preserve the quality of the artwork and condition of the frame, most items are framed at the time of purchase. Due to issues within the supply chain and delays with framing products availability, the frame you see pictured might not be currently available. If we do not hear from you regarding your framing options we will do our best to frame it in a similar style and color.
Presentation
Maurice Savin, born October 17, 1894 in Moras-en-Valloire (Drôme), died March 17, 1973 in Paris, is a French painter, engraver, ceramist and medalist.
Graduate of the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, Maurice Savin was a painter, ceramist, engraver, sculptor, illustrator, lithographer, furniture decorator, painter of tapestry cartoons and stained glass.
His peasant scenes, hymns to the vine, female nudes in fullness sing his love of life in the warm exaltation of ochre and red.
Savin is a complete artist. He exercises his talents in multiple registers where forms and colors, lights and movements harmonize, strengthen, and liberate his vision - realistic but sensitive - in a very personal poetry.
