Description

Goldfish. Diptych: Graphic Fish Diptych in Warm Gold and Deep Black

Black and gold diptych artwork welcomes consideration for a modern home or growing collection. "Goldfish. Diptych" (90 × 60 × 2 cm / 35.4 × 23.6 × 0.8 in) by Svetlana Saratova brings two canvas panels into a lively exchange of color and form. Created in acrylic on canvas, the artwork repeats stylized fish decorated with circles and angular zigzags.

Gold silhouettes stand against black in the upper section, while black silhouettes move across gold below. The reversed palette creates both unity and contrast. Rounded shapes interrupt the sharp lines, giving the pattern an organic pulse. The result feels animated but ordered, reflecting the artist's interest in movement, interacting opposites, and visual balance.

This unique artwork suits an interior that pairs clean furniture lines with expressive details. A contemporary living room, dining area, or creative workspace can welcome its warm tones and graphic presence. Collectors who enjoy semi-abstract subjects will appreciate the fish motif and repeated geometry. As a gift, it offers a distinctive choice for a design enthusiast or fish lover. The artwork is signed on the back and supplied without framing.

Presentation

Svetlana Saratova is a self-taught artist working with acrylic and mixed media, currently based in Germany. Born in Belarus and having lived for many years in Russia, she has been painting since childhood, developing her artistic language outside of formal academic structures. Her work explores the quiet poetry of nature — flowers, organic forms, seasonal rhythms, and subtle emotional states.

Saratova's paintings often incorporate texture, layered surfaces, and a restrained color palette. She creates a dialogue between abstraction and recognizable shapes, balancing decorative harmony with expressive spontaneity. Whether through delicate florals or abstract compositions, her art invites a sense of stillness, presence, and gentle introspection.

Inspired by the natural world, light, wind, and movement, she seeks not to imitate nature but to translate its emotional resonance. Her work offers a moment of quiet reflection — a visual space where the viewer can slow down and simply be.

Saratova also teaches drawing to children and adults and has participated in group exhibitions in Germany, Canada, Israel, and the United States. Her works are held in private collections worldwide, including in Germany, the USA, Canada, Australia, and Japan.
