Description
A coastal city comes alive under an incandescent sky. The artist uses the knife to sculpt the material. The acrylic slabs pile up. The texture creates a tactile relief. Movement guides the eye along a colorful boulevard.
The hues clash boldly. The deep blue of the water contrasts with the pink and yellow of the coast. Stylized palm trees punctuate the composition. They bring an organic touch to this urban environment.
The style oscillates between abstraction and figuration. The buildings become blocks of superimposed colors. Solar energy dominates the scene. This painting captures the spirit of travel and the light of distant destinations.
The quick execution emphasizes the spontaneity of the gesture. Each cut of the blade defines a simplified architecture. The composition ends with touches of pure white evoking foam or clouds. This work made in 2026 plays with the saturation of pigments.
Presentation
Thibault Vigneron is a painter passionate about knife painting, a technique he favors for the texture, shine, and movement it brings to his artworks. Inspired by themes of fashion, pop culture, and travel, he creates dynamic works that capture the energy of these worlds.
As a draftsman, he draws inspiration from fashion illustrations, comics, and graphic novels, blending these influences to bring unique and expressive creations to life.
The son of renowned painter Marc Vigneron, Thibault grew up in an artistic environment, immersed in the world of art from a young age. Today, he continues this family legacy while developing his own artistic voice.
At the same time, he teaches drawing, driven by a desire to pass on his passion and skills to the next generations.
