Description
Shadows of the Night 2 is a composition painted with a brush and knife with impasto on the motif. It is inspired by the seaside landscapes where the artist lives and creates on the banks of the Atlantic coast. The background is worked in deep, dark blues with touches of light giving depth and light. In contrast, the hulls of the boats, outlined by flat areas of color and extended by their reflections - characteristic of the artist's style - are colorful and luminous. The sails are suggested, barely traced, leaving the eye free to embrace the entire landscape. It is an ode to escape, serenity and silence.
Presentation
The artist has always lived at the edge of the water, on the Atlantic coast, as close as possible to these seascapes that he loves passionately and of which he strives, canvas after canvas, as a sensitive and privileged witness, to restore light, poetry and serenity.
Colorist, he works his semi-abstract seascapes with oil, brush and knife, playing on the contrast between the motif worked in full paste and the soft background, thus offering each of his works a very dynamic contemporary.
Favoring the impression, the atmosphere and the atmosphere, it gives free rein to the imagination of those who contemplate them.
His paintings are an ode to travel, dreams and escape.
