Description
A dreamlike world. This oil painting is captivating with its fantastic atmosphere. A female figure emerges from the waves, her gaze turned towards a distant horizon. Her silhouette gradually blends into the liquid mass, creating an organic fusion with the marine element.
Blue dominates the scene. It saturates the space and envelops the bodies. In the foreground, a face emerges from the water. Her wide-open eyes observe the scene with a silent intensity. This face-to-face suggests an invisible dialogue between two states of consciousness.
In the background, ochre cliffs contrast with the coolness of the water. A small isolated house overlooks the shore. This detail anchors the scene in a terrestrial reality while the subject slips into surrealism. The figurative technique serves here the narrative of a dream.
Presentation
My paintings are the expression of thoughts or feelings inspired by an event, a book, a song...
I translate my feelings and motivations through the choice of real elements and the way I integrate them into a painting. Sometimes, I start with a "favorite element" that I keep in mind, until its characteristics (context, origins, etc.) sketch out a painting that will mature in my mind. Then, I just have to try to put down on canvas, the painting that I have in mind.
