Biography
Thomas Groslier was born in Amiens in 1957.
In 1976, he entered the Beaux-Arts of Valence.
During his training years, he was interested in the works of Delvaux, Gromaire, Balthus, De Chirico, Van Gogh and Fragonard.
Starting in 1983, he develops a figurative work drawing from classicism. His subjects are multiple: portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and genre scenes.
His painting is characterized by a smooth and precise execution, as well as a generally restricted palette, dominated by blues, grays, and greens.
The artist favors small formats, more intimate ones, and develops different techniques. He works mainly with oil and tempera, on canvas, wood or cardboard, supports most often prepared by himself.
Since 1983, his work has been exhibited in different venues, galleries, and museums.
