Description
Abstraction is expressed here by a play of sober lines and a muted palette. An ovoid central form dominates the composition. It stretches vertically, anchored by a precise black line that crosses its length. This white core seems to float on a background of beige and mauve tones.
The eye is guided by angular strokes that structure the space. On the left, a broken line evokes a geometric movement. On the right, a horizontal line comes to break the balance to establish a visual tension.
The work of the material brings a tactile dimension to the whole. The background presents a subtle grain, almost textile, which softens the contrasts. The colors fade and blend into areas of diffuse light.
This composition explores the dialogue between the rigor of the line and the softness of the flat areas. The balance rests on the simplicity and precision of the gesture. Each element occupies its place with an exemplary economy of means. The final rendering favors a serene harmony, marked by a subtle violet pictorial framing.
Presentation
SmaK-titi is a French self-taught street artist. He discovered street art in USA during the 90's in New York and Chicago. This is when his initial work was exhibited on Broadway avenue. He then moved to France.
Smak-titi's universe revolves around pop art and raw art. It's filled with imaginary and colored characters, with unique personalities. Bright fluorescent colors put dynamism and depth in the limelight.
Smak-titi has moved back to France and regularly exhibits there but also in European galleries.
