Description
Multicolor rays shoot out from a central point to invade the space.
The composition structures the gaze around a stylized architecture.
Three towers rise, evoking domes or immutable monuments.
The artist uses acrylic and collage to create tactile textures.
The relief brings a physical dimension to the canvas.
The colors are stark, almost primary.
They draw sharp geometric areas and marked contrasts.
The abstraction transforms the landscape into a space for reflection.
Fragments of text appear discreetly, suggesting a hidden narrative.
This approach mixes visual simplicity and conceptual depth.
The bottom of the image rests on arched shapes evoking a bridge or a base.
The final rendering emphasizes a balance between rigor and fantasy.
The whole ends with a discreet signature in the bottom right corner.
Presentation
Self-taught painter, living in Le Mans, Stéphane Cantin has resumed his brushes for ten years.
He offers through his paintings a new perspective on the world around us; to look at it both as a colorful succession inviting reverie but also as an opening to deeper reflections.
Artistic freedom and freedom of the press being the two great paths leading to free thought, the artist brings them together in works that are both simple and complex with the sole objective of making everyone move forward on the path of reflection and of freedom.
