Description
In this painting, the world seems to have melted into a white paste of paint. The sea, the sky, the ships—everything has merged into a kind of impasto abyss, where the paint clings to the canvas in thick lumps, like foam on forgotten coffee. The sails resemble ghosts mired in the fog, and the water—a mirror that someone wiped with a palette knife and forgot to finish.
