Description
This painting is executed in an Impressionist manner, using impasto technique and a light, airy palette. The composition depicts a seascape with several sailing vessels on calm water.
In the foreground is a large sailboat with white sails, its reflection softly dissolving in the water. In the distance are three small yachts with tall sails, slightly blurred, which creates the effect of fog or a light haze. On the right is a small boat with a figure in it, and on the horizon a sail of rich red catches the eye.
Birds soaring above the water bring the painting to life, and the delicate strokes create a sense of lightness and quiet. In the lower right corner are the signature and the date, 1978, which speaks to the modernity of the work. Overall, the painting conveys a peaceful maritime atmosphere and a sense of the boundless expanse of water.
