Description
This work, by revealing itself with flat areas of bright colors and abstract shapes, immediately captures and retains attention. The color palette used oscillates between warm and cool tones, creating an intriguing visual harmony. Blue and green dominate the left side of the composition, perhaps evoking an aquatic scene or ethereal atmosphere. In the center, a slender orange-red figure appears to float, as if dancing or interacting with its environment in an almost supernatural way. Her arms stretch with precise brushstrokes that add dynamism and a sense of radiance around her. On the right, an explosion of dark colors, mixed with touches of green and black, contrasts sharply with the rest of the work, bringing a sense of depth and bursting that could symbolize a sudden event or eruption of energy. The other, more discreet shapes blend gently into the decor thanks to lighter shades of blue, purple and pink. These elements bring a certain softness and balance to the overall composition, allowing the observer to travel through different levels of perception and interpretation. The background, for its part, is an expanse of azure blue lines, placed in such a way as to create an almost moving texture, like a sky animated by mystical winds. Each line, each nuance, gives the whole emotional depth, making this work both complex and captivating. By challenging traditional conventions of form and subject, this piece stands as a vibrant testimony to the artist's imagination and expressive power.

Presentation
In 1938, he founded his lithography studio which allowed him to work with all the great artists of the century such as: Nicolas de Staël, Serge Charchoune, Robert Delaunay, Wassily Kandinsky and Serge Poliakoff. In parallel, Jean created his own pieces in an expressionist style. Later on, he started working on classic subjects like dead nature, landscapes and portraits.
In the late 30s, he turned towards abstraction and practiced different techniques including collage and mixed techniques. But this period lasted only a short time and under the influence of the New Figuration movement, he took a figurative style. He kept his predilection for bright colors although his choice of colors softened gradually.
Throughout his career, he has been in constant contact with artists from all the great movements of the 20th century: Geometric Abstraction, New School of Paris, Lyrical Abstraction, Cobra, and many others.
