About the artwork

Artwork sold in perfect condition

Stéphane Aït Ouarab, known as Saï (born in 1971) Reflection, La voyeuse London, 2017, Dibon 3mm, Ultra HD photo print in 7 ex + 2 EA, 2 mm glossy acrylic glass, Numbered, Signed, framed American black oak box The fashion photos of Stéphane Aït Ouarab sound like a tribute paid to human beings. To the beauty of the models, to the creativity of the designers who imagined their clothes, to the ingenuity of the scenographers, to the architects who designed the buildings where these fashion shows take place, to the atmosphere that emanates from these human convergences... Epicenter of his gaze, the human being is revealed in his physical entirety or appears implicitly through his work. This humanism sometimes leads Stéphane to apprehend bodily details (hands, gaze, etc.) to offer a metonymic vision to his shots. Street-photographer, his photos tell a story, they retrace scenes of life while offering a vision that is both figurative and surreal. Les Reflets offers a triangular gaze between the space, the object of the reflection and the viewer. The artist disappears behind the creativity of his gaze, but imposes the artistic character of the work which would have gone unnoticed without his plastic insight. The photograph is numbered and signed on a sticker to stick on the back of the work where there is also a QR code. This QR code includes a number which is noted on the certificate of authenticity. These 2 documents are sent by post to the delivery address of the work.

French artists

Author Photographer Stéphane Aït Ouarab, his artist name Saï, builds his shots so that they reveal their hypnotic beauty. Its main claim is beauty! A desire to focus his photographic gaze on the aesthetics of reality. Because according to him, "whether beauty is factual or not, it exists everywhere". His attraction for photography lies in this desire for the majestic expression of beauty, which transcends human borders and cultural barriers.

Fashion photographer for the greatest designers of our generation; Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Yves Saint-Laurent, Dior, Chanel... Stéphane Aït Ouarab also photographs what he calls "sumptuous stones" for Cartier, Chaumet and even Bvlgari. With his camera he immortalizes the swaying of the models in sumptuous outfits on spectacular and sometimes improbable scenographies. He travels the world for shoots in idyllic settings, thus offering a Baudelairean immersion in a mode "where all is order and beauty, luxury, calm and voluptuousness. »

But beyond this glamorous world, Stéphane Aït Ouarab has been able to offer his photographic gaze a dual plastic approach through the Eyes-up and Reflets series represented by the Murmure gallery.
