Description
She looks at us, with her sad fish eyes (?). It's time to do some anthropomorphism! This photo from my series “Autos Végétales" is visible on my artistic website: @www.jeanfrancoishumbert.com. This Panhard PL 17 from 1961 abandoned to nature and time provides us with a paradoxically living spectacle of a symbol of power relegated to the rank of immobile sculpture in transformation, which perhaps makes it more dazzling than in the past. I like to think that the aluminum will be recovered from its scattered pieces, which once recycled will then serve as a support for my author's proofs. The advantage of aluminum, in addition to its softness to the touch and sight, is to make the perception of the image different depending on the angle of view (by semi-specular reflection), thus offering the last highlights to this machine of the past .
Presentation
I use the photographic medium to offer a subjective vision of the world around me by magnifying reality, giving it a poetic, even almost romantic, meaning where shape and light and color transcend the subject of the photograph. This often results in pictorial and timeless images, sometimes almost abstract, open to the viewer's psyche.
For me, photography is not reality but one reality among others. Mine is to create the conditions for wonder...
