Description
This captivating work presents a winter landscape shrouded in mystery. A lone pine tree stands tall, exuding resilience in the face of adversity. Shades of gray and brown dominate the image, evoking a melancholic and introspective atmosphere. The sky, heavy and cloudy, adds dramatic depth to the scene. The textures, subtly layered, give an impression of dream and reality merged. The artist succeeds in capturing the essence of nature in its rawest state, while introducing an emotional dimension through minute details and thoughtful composition. This photograph invites contemplation, encouraging the viewer to lose themselves in the wild and enigmatic beauty of the landscape. The contrast between the softness of the lines and the harshness of the environment gives this work a unique and poignant expressiveness.
Presentation
Born in 1953, I have been practicing photography since the age of 12.
My models were Jean Loup Sieff and William Klein in photography and Mark Rothko in painting.
In 1975, I participated in the creation of the gallery editions and the Contrejour magazine in Paris.
I was published in 2020 in Zoom International and in the American magazine Inspired Eye Magazine.
Until 2018, I only took black and white photos, then I started to introduce a little color and since 2022 abstraction in color and in large and very large formats (between 1.20m and 2.00m).
I did two exhibitions in 2024:
Krizalid Gallery Store in Royan
Concept Store Galerie Le Comptoir in Valence d'Agen.
In August 2024, publication of a book "Photograph Like a Painter"
I live and work in Arvert in Charente Maritime.
