Description
Sénart Forest on an autumn morning. The mist, muddy ground, and ghostly tree create a dark, haunted forest atmosphere. Black and white silver print with a partial sepia toning.
This poignant work captures a mystical forest bathed in an ethereal mist. The tall, bare trees stand majestically, creating a striking contrast with the soft light filtering through the fog. A winding stream meanders in the foreground, delicately reflecting the dark trunks and adding a dynamic dimension to the scene. The enveloping atmosphere evokes both calm and mystery, drawing the viewer into a silent and timeless universe. The shades of gray and brown give the whole a melancholic and nostalgic tone, accentuating the impression of a suspended moment. This illustration invites reflection, encouraging one to discover the beauty hidden in the details and to explore the unknown beyond the visible paths. The artist has mastered the art of capturing nature in all its dark and captivating splendor.
Presentation
"I don't seek to photograph places that are out of the ordinary because of their rarity or exoticism, but rather to sublimate our immediate environment: I strive to capture moments where light and shadows play a crucial role, creating atmospheres that oscillate between the real and the unreal. I work mainly in black and white film, notably using chemical toning to add a timeless and poetic dimension to my images."
