Description

This captivating work depicts a human figure strolling serenely along a secluded beach. In black and white, every detail of the image highlights the dynamic contrast between the soft contours of the figure and the grainy texture of the sand. Light plays a crucial role, highlighting the elegant curves and creating strong shadows that add depth and mystery to the scene. The background reveals a tropical landscape, where trees are silhouetted against a dramatic sky. The absence of color intensifies the intimacy and tranquility of the moment, inviting the viewer into silent contemplation. This work embodies a harmonious juxtaposition of vulnerability and strength, movement and pause, creating a visual experience that is both powerful and calming.

Presentation

After studying philosophy, this travel and photography enthusiast decided in 1984 to devote himself to images, and set up his studio in the former warehouses in Paris, alongside around a hundred other artists.

Spontaneous, fresh and full of charm, his remarkable images have toured the world world, from Paris to Milan, via New York and Hong Kong, and international international collaborations with magazines, catalogs and designers.

His work can be found in such eminent fashion magazines as Marie-Claire, Biba, Gala, Cosmopolitan, Vogues hommes, Unica, Gioa, Donna, Allure and Elle International, as well as in collaboration with many renowned international brands such as L'Oréal, Revlon, Armani, Nivéa, Nina Ricci, Clarins , Adidas, Décléor, Philosophy and Jil Sander, to name but a few.

His evolution towards portraits of actors also led him to film set photos.

But his world and concerns will never be far removed from the art world, and despite the intense “commercial" work that takes him around the world, Les Frigos remains his home base and a daily source of inspiration.
