Description
This black-and-white image focuses on the physical trace left behind by water and mud across a damaged landscape in Comunidad Valenciana, Spain. Lines, textures, and erosion marks form a natural composition that speaks to the force of the flood and its irreversible passage. Included in , Emanuel Gravina’s solo exhibition marking one year since the 2024 DANA disaster, transforms a mark on the land into a metaphor for memory—revealing how catastrophe imprints itself not only on territory, but on those who inhabit it.
Presentation
Emanuel Gravina (Argentina, 1985), based in Valencia, Spain. His practice explores humanity and territory through direct engagement with communities often placed at the margins, addressing themes such as homelessness, displacement and rural life within contexts marked by social or environmental challenges. Focused on resilience as a shared human condition, he works across photography, painting and other media without hierarchy, developing projects grounded in real connection, service and presence.
