Description
This painting references paintings from ancient Egypt, which, through the past, present, and future, have allowed us, are allowing us, or will allow us to discover the culture of the ancients. We still have much to learn from these vanished civilizations, from this era that captivates us with its secrets and mysticism. The colors used, as well as the hieroglyphs employed, were deciphered in 1822 by Jean-François Champollion. Yet, our view of the past is fading as we look toward the future, which in itself is beneficial, for we must move forward to progress, and it would be a good omen to share this progress with everyone. I have a lingering question: will the world's population one day share the same vision (while still maintaining our individual identities) regarding our future, and cease their infighting?
This captivating artwork harmoniously blends vibrant colors and bold geometric forms. Dominated by shades of yellow and orange, it evokes intense warmth and flamboyant dynamism. Black arcs create a powerful contrast, elegantly guiding the eye through the composition. A burst of blue stands out, introducing a note of freshness and balance. The subtle presence of a lantern suggests interior lighting, adding an element of mystery. The transparent, layered texture enriches the visual effect, inviting the viewer to discover hidden details. This piece embodies a masterful fusion of light and shadow, offering a unique and immersive experience.
Presentation
Hello, I'm Eric Dujols, and I'm delighted that you're interested in my creations.
I have been practicing my art for 20 years, but it is only in the last two years that I have made it my main activity.
I have been taking photos since I was a teenager, because I observe a lot of those around me, but also, I observe everything that comes within my reach (objects, etc.).
I use gradients a lot, and my works are a condensation of tools from various software and my photographs, they are barely distinguishable or not at all in my paintings. And since then, I have not stopped creating, because I have found my way and my means of expression.
I have my creations printed on Alu Dibond, which is a contemporary material because it is super innovative.
See you soon and may art win you over.
