Limited Edition of 10.
Time and movement, ours and that of plants, are united in this shot in an image that sums up, at least for me, the heart of this series, which appears so abstract and unreal, yet definitively real, like the plant that drew this image.
The series began in 2019, when I was imagining the kind of images I wanted to exist: not documents of plants, but visual expressions of presence, soul, and silence. I wasn't looking for forms. I was listening for gestures.
I experimented for months with different films, exposure times, light and motion. Eventually, something appeared: a visual rhythm that felt alive, emotional, quiet and yet powerful.
We tend to see plants as static. But to me, they move constantly — in ways we often fail to notice.
Folium 3 is my way of making those movements visible.
